Become a Portarlington Mussel Festival Volunteer in January 2018!
Portarlington Mussel Festival Volunteers Wanted – The people who make it possible: Volunteers!
The Portarlington Mussel Festival is a community festival solely run by volunteers for the benefit of the community.
Being a volunteer is a richly rewarding experience that gives you the chance to spend time with like minded individuals working as a team to achieve the same result.
The success of our festival is largely dependent upon community support and this includes our volunteers. The work they do and contribution they make to the running of our festival is considered a crucial asset – in short, we couldn’t do it without them. Last year we recruited over 100 volunteers to help with the festival, and will need to do the same again in January 2018. Whilst our festival is a one day event we need volunteers for the set up & pack down too. So if you think you can help on one or all three days we’d love to hear from you.
Shifts are generally only 3 hours in length unless you stipulate you’d like to work more time.
All our volunteers receive a T-shirt on the day and will be invited to a “thank you” evening after the festival to celebrate their hard work!
